CEO

Luis Cid has been Chief Executive Officer since 2017 and has more than a decade of experience in the renewable energy sector. He joined the company in 2010 as Head of Business Development, Mergers & Acquisitions and Structured Finance, leading the company’s expansion in six different markets -including the UK and the US- and has achieved important milestones such as the start-up of the wind division and the increase of its project portfolio to 8GWs. Before joining Opdenergy, he was Business Development Director of Iberdrola’s Engineering and Construction division, where he was responsible for the development of renewable energy projects and electricity distribution networks.
He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the ICAI School of Engineering.

CFO

Tomás Collantes is the Chief Financial Officer since 2022. Previously he was Director of Corporate Development and Structured Finance, being responsible for the structuring and execution of M&A transactions, project finance, corporate finance and asset management of the company. He has more than 13 years of experience in M&A and structured finance transactions, most of them related to the renewable energy sector. Prior to joining Opdenergy, he was Director of Structured Finance and M&A at solar energy provider IBC Solar in Asia; he held the same responsibility at Fonroche; he was Manager of Structured Finance at a subsidiary of Abengoa; as well as a senior consultant in the M&A department of PwC.

Mario González is the Chief Operating Officer since 2018 and has more than 14 years of experience in the renewable energy sector. He joined the company as Director of Construction and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) in 2010 and has been responsible for designing and implementing operational strategies, achieving important milestones such as the execution of O&M transactions and the construction of PV plants in the UK, Italy and Spain. Previously, he was Project Director at Iberdrola Ingeniería y Construcción.

Alfonso Álvarez has been the Head of Legal Services since 2011 and Secretary of the Board of Directors of the company, as well as of other group companies. Prior to joining the company, he was a senior associate in the Madrid office of Garrigues, where he worked in the firm’s Environment and Renewable Energies department. Previously, he worked in the Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions department at EY.

Isabel Troya is the Director of Investor Relations and Communications. Prior to joining, she worked at Azora Capital for more than 10 years in various positions, most recently as Director of Investor Relations and Communications of the group, the same responsibility she held at Hispania Activos Inmobiliarios SOCIM. Prior to Azora, she worked as a Project Finance and Corporate Development Associate at Acciona Energía and as a Senior Corporate Finance Analyst in the Mergers and Acquisitions department of Banco Espíritu Santo.

Sandra Pinillos

Sandra Pinillos

HR Director

Sandra Pinillos is the Human Resources Director and has over 7 years’ experience working in international companies and designing strategies for the improvement of human resource management. Prior to joining Opdenergy, Ms. Pinillos served as P&C Operations Manager for X-ELIO during 3 years and was responsible of the employees’ compensation and benefits structure, HR systems and launched initiatives focused on increasing employee satisfaction and aligning needs with business objectives. Prior to that, Sandra Pinillos worked as HR Generalist in General Mills, where she led the implementation of Workday and also was responsible of the compensation, training and communication areas.
Sandra Pinillos holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Political Science from the University Carlos III of Madrid and a bachelor’s degree in Communication from the Distance University of Madrid.
