Opdenergy is a growing independent renewable energy producer (IPP) with presence in Europe, United States and Latin America with more than 19 years’ experience. The company develops, builds, finances, manages and operates high quality renewable energy projects in several countries, with a portfolio of 2,6 GW (1,3 operational and + 1,3 ready to build/under construction) assets in operations and construction, whole portfolio under development sums up to over 18 GW.
Opdenergy is now looking for a Project Finance Intern to give support to our team.
What will you help with:
Assistance in tasks inherent to the project finance activity, amongst others:
- Preparation of market reports, investment memorandums and corporate presentations.
- Assist in the origination, negotiation and closing of financial transactions.
- Conduct research and statistical analysis in the different geographies where the company is present.
- Analysis of teasers regarding M&A opportunities.
- Attending meetings with financial institutions and other entities linked to the deals.
- Management of advisors and suppliers involved in the financing process from an operational perspective.
- Support team members in any other tasks where they require it
Requirements:
- Students in their final year of a degree or double degree in financial studies (Business, Economics or similar), or Masters Degree students, also finance-driven.
- Notable academic record.
- Proficiency in English (minimum C1 Cambridge).
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint (SAP skills would be a plus).
- Accounting and financial knowledge, analytical skills, proactivity and willingness to learn.
- Preferably full-time availability.
- Previous working experience would be a plus.
