Opdenergy is a growing independent renewable energy producer (IPP) with presence in Europe, United States and Latin America with more than 19 years’ experience. The company develops, builds, finances, manages and operates high quality renewable energy projects in several countries, with a portfolio of 2,6 GW (1,3 operational and + 1,3 ready to build / under construction) assets in operations and construction, whole portfolio under development sums up to over 18 GW.
Opdenergy is now looking for a General Ledger Accountant to give support to our projects in Italy.
What will you help with?
- Controlling, supervising and analysing intercompany transactions, identifying any discrepancies and proposing the necessary adjustments.
- Calculating and recording financial transactions, including loans, swaps and other operations.
- Accurately recording the related operating costs and revenues.
- Reviewing and reconciling balances between the different group entities.
- Conducting monthly analyses and reviews of the financial and accounting reports of the different companies and projects under development.
- Monitoring operating expenses (Opex) and capital expenditure (Capex).
- Working with and supporting external auditors throughout audit processes.
- Performing accounting reconciliations.
- Preparing financial reports, forecasts and related documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management, Economics or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in a similar role. Previous experience in the renewable energy or construction sector will be considered an advantage.
- Advanced knowledge of Office 365, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of SAP.
- Good command of English (B2 level required). Knowledge of Spanish will be considered an advantage.
