The company develops, builds, finances, manages, and operates high-quality renewable energy projects in several countries, with a portfolio of 2.6 GW (1.3 GW operational and over 1.3 GW ready to build / under construction) in assets under operation and construction. The total portfolio under development exceeds 18 GW.
Opdenergy is currently looking for a Head of Europe Asset Management to lead our Asset Management team in the management of our European projects.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Strategic Management
- Define and implement the European Asset Management strategy, fully aligned with the Group’s financial objectives and long-term growth plans.
- Oversee the financial and economic performance of European assets throughout the construction and operational phases, ensuring value creation and long-term asset optimization.
- Supervise the execution of debt drawdowns, debt service payments, and sponsor distributions, ensuring strict compliance with financing agreements and covenant requirements.
- Review and validate SPV financial statements, ensuring accounting consistency, accuracy, and compliance with local regulations across multiple European jurisdictions.
Contractual Management and Lender Relations
- Ensure full compliance with reporting obligations and financial covenants under financing agreements and material contracts, including PPAs, O&M, EPC, insurance, and other key project agreements.
- Lead the preparation, review, and presentation of financial reports to lenders, investors, and other key European stakeholders.
- Manage the issuance, renewal, and optimization of project-related financial guarantees, including project bonds, letters of credit, and other guarantee instruments.
- Act as the primary point of contact for banks, financial institutions, infrastructure funds, credit agencies, and strategic partners across Europe.
Leadership and Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate closely with key internal stakeholders, including Corporate Finance, Legal, Operations, Development, Risk, and ESG teams, to ensure an integrated and consistent portfolio management approach.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial, contractual, and operational risks across the European asset portfolio.
What You Will Be Responsible For
- Financial monitoring of projects during construction and operation phases.
- Execution of debt drawdowns, debt service payments, and sponsor distributions.
- Optimization of project cash flows and overall financial performance.
- Monitoring information and reporting obligations under financing agreements and material contracts, including PPAs.
- Preparation of financial reports and key financial ratios for lenders and financial institutions.
- Control and analysis of project revenues and costs, including variance analysis.
- Review of project and SPV financial statements.
- Issuance and renewal of project financial guarantees.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, with at least 8 years of professional experience.
- Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Expert knowledge of Asset Management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven analytical and mathematical capabilities.
- Strong critical thinking and presentation skills.
