October 17th, 2015 – OPDE, a multinational company specialized in the development, investment, and operation of photovoltaic farms, expands its activity with photovoltaic installations on rooftops, at an industrial, commercial and residential level in Mexico.

The Mexican delegation aims to boost OPDE’s presence in the Mexican photovoltaic market. Not in vain, the Mexican Authorities foresee that, in 2024, 35% of the electricity produced in Mexico will come from renewable energies. “Our presence in Mexico dates back to 2010 and after five years we want to consolidate and strengthen our presence in the market, for which we are strategically betting at present, both because of its growth potential and because of our extensive product portfolio. In fact, in addition to large installations, OPDE’s offer includes industrial turnkey constructions for third parties and all types of residential and commercial photovoltaic energy installations which, we believe, will be very present in the future energy development of the country”, stated the Management of OPDE. In order to successfully carry out this new boost to its presence in the Mexican market, OPDE makes use of its extensive international experience, since it has accumulated the promotion and construction of 225MW in photovoltaic solar plants located in Italy (48.8 MW), the United Kingdom (69.8 MW) and Spain (105 MW). In addition to Mexico, the company is currently active in Mexico, the USA and Chile, with 800 MW under development.
