Due to our dynamic growth, we are expanding our team in Madrid and are currently looking for a Wind Resource Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Prospecting, site selection, analysis and use of Mesoscale products.
- Measurement Campaign Design: location of measurement towers and configuration of towers.
- Management of Meteorological Towers: Coordination and management of tower maintenance subcontractors, programming of maintenance plans and statistical analysis of wind data.
- Design and Optimization of wind farms: Development of layouts, micrositting, modeling with CFD, technology and machine selection, noise and flickering studies.
- Site Energy Assessment: Preparation of production reports, uncertainty assessment, loss calculation, site verification (IEC61400-1).
- Technical Feasibility Analysis and Collaboration with the financial department in the technical Due Diligence. Dialogue with independent advisors.
- Relationship with wind turbine manufacturers: request for power curves and updated information on available technology, site validation, site calibration and wind turbine power curve test (IEC61400-12).
- Production monitoring, performance studies and power curve compliance.
- Project engineering review in coordination with project managers.
- Participation in regular coordination meetings.

Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering, Physical Sciences or similar. Master's degree in Renewable Energies.
- 2 years of experience performing the functions described.
- Advanced Office package, especially Excel.
- AutoCAD/Arc GIS, WAsP, Windographer, Windfarmer and/or other specific software for the wind industry. Valuable Meteodyn or similar CFD.
- High level of English (C1). Valuable knowledge of Italian.
